Answers to common questions about FastLabel.

What is FastLabel?

A web app for Discogs sellers that works in any browser on iPhone, Android, Windows or macOS (an iPhone app is coming). It makes USPS shipping labels for your paid orders, emails you the PDF and marks the order shipped when you tap Yes.

How do I get started?

Install the app, tap Log in with Discogs, fill in your ship-from address, then add a card or Apple Pay to your label wallet. Setup takes about three steps.

When are labels made?

When you open or refresh FastLabel, it checks your orders. Each new paid order gets a label, if you've turned on automatic labels. If you haven't, it shows “New paid order · Create label?” and you decide. There are no background checks yet, so open the app to pick up new orders.

How do I pay for postage?

Postage is paid from your prepaid FastLabel balance. You add money with a card through our secure payment processor, and a label is only bought when your balance covers it. The price for each label is shown in the app before you buy.

How do I keep spending under control?
  • Set a daily limit for automatic labels ($25 to start, between $1 and $500).
  • FastLabel makes at most 5 automatic labels each time you refresh.
  • Right before buying, it checks that the order is still paid and has no label yet.
  • When the limit is reached, automatic labels stop until the next day and you get a notification. You can still make labels by hand.
Which shipping services are supported?

For US orders, USPS Media Mail (cheapest for records) is the default, and USPS Priority Mail is available: switch your default in Settings or pick it for a single order. Orders abroad go by tracked international shipping through our trusted international shipping partners. Labels are made for 12-inch LPs and 7-inch singles. Orders with 10-inch records are left for you to ship yourself.

What if the buyer changes their address?

If the buyer sends a message after paying, FastLabel pauses the automatic label so you can read it first. If you already have a label, tap Change address: FastLabel makes a new label, cancels the old one and asks for a refund. USPS refunds take 15 to 30 days.

What about international orders?

International labels need a customs form. In settings you can set one customs value for every international order, or choose to enter it on each order. If you choose to enter it yourself, FastLabel waits for you before making the label.

How does Mark shipped work?

Open the order and tap Yes. FastLabel marks the order shipped on Discogs, adds the tracking number and sends the buyer a short message. Nothing changes on Discogs until you tap Yes.

I didn't get the label email.

Check your spam folder and make sure the email in your FastLabel settings is right. The label is also in the app on the order. You can open or print it from there.

How do I disconnect or delete my data?

You can remove FastLabel's access in your Discogs settings under Applications. To delete your FastLabel account and data, email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my FastLabel data”. See the Privacy Policy.

Is FastLabel made by Discogs?

No. FastLabel is made by Blake Labs Inc. It uses Discogs’ API but is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Discogs.
